Eyre Group has recently signed up to the Sizewell C Supply Chain portal to keep up to date with the latest opportunities and information of what the Sizewell C Project has to offer. Our Business Manager Andy Norton met with the supply chain Manager, Ian Currie, where they discussed future operations of Eyre’s involvement on the project and how the important role the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce has in the Sizewell C development.
Sizewell C is a proposed new nuclear power station for Suffolk and will generate low-carbon electricity for at least 60 years and will support 70,000 jobs across the UK during construction and operation. During peak construction, nearly 8,000 people will be employed, with at least 25% of the workforce coming from the local area and around 7% being electricians.
