Eyre Group have proudly completed another successful project for the NHS Trust at James Paget University Hospital. The refurbishment and re-purpose of an existing area of the hospital will now be used and known as the ‘Same Day Emergency Care Unit’ (SDEC).
The team were tasked with maintaining and re-purposing MEP facilities whilst stripping out services surplus to requirement. Once completed, they undertook a complex design with significant spatial and time restraints to produce a state-of-the art SDEC area which has 12 trolley bays, eight chair bay areas, toilets, staff and reception areas.
The unit has been furnished with a groundbreaking lighting and monitoring system that is being trialled at the hospital which could be rolled out on future projects. We also carried out the full MEP install with only medical gases install being retained by the Trust.
