In the village of Drayton, Norwich, a new charity shop has opened its doors and heart, to support Amber’s Army, a local charity founded in memory of eight-year-old Amber Sheehy, who tragically passed away from cancer in 2023.
Amber’s Army, based in nearby Horsford, was created by Amber’s parents; Amanda and Jon Sheehy to help families of children with terminal illnesses create lifelong memories. This new shop will serve as both a fundraising space and a family support hub — the charity’s first of its kind.
The transformation of the empty store was made possible by our incredible team at Eyre Group, who volunteered their time and expertise through our social value programme. From relocating electrical sockets to installing new heating and lighting, they’ve helped bring this vision to life.
We wish them well in their new shop.
