Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge

The Fitzwilliam Museum forms part of the University of Cambridge Museums and houses a world-renowned collection of over a half a million works of art, masterpiece paintings and historical artefacts.

Eyre Group were originally employed to upgrade the lighting to the Founders’ Entrance and had to draw on their significant experience to install the system with minimum impact on the building’s fabric whilst providing a technically sound installation. Working closely with client and design team alike resulted in a completion fitting to the building’s unique demands. Success on this part of the works led to future work in the equally demanding Gallery 3.
