Queens’ College Cripps Court

Cripps Court was constructed in stages between 1974 and 1980. It houses more than180 students and includes a bar, laundry, offices, meeting rooms and teaching spaces completing the courtyard building.

The 64-bedroom refurbishment, complete with gyp rooms (kitchenettes) communal areas was successfully re-furbished to a challenging programme dictated by the 14-week summer recess. The refurbishment involved creating en-suite facilities to all bedrooms whilst renewing and updating the services. The early involvement of Eyre Group provided an advantage in design development with RPA and detailed coordination of the shared risers and ceiling voids.
